What're Your Plans?

Just checking in to see what everyone's plans are in regards to purchasing a new bike. Will you be adding to the collection or will you be selling your existing bike to get a G310R ?

Or is this going to be a first bike for you such as myself ?

This is going to be my first bike, maybe the R or GS variant and it's going to be a step up from the 125 cc bikes the learning centers use.

First bike as well which seems to be the trending answer. Definitely going to love this as a first bike. For a little point in time I was actually thinking of a Ninja 300 but realized that I much prefer this style of bike. A bit more versatility in what I can do with it and where I can put it. Well priced too.

It's my second bike, used to have a CBR250. So the G310R is my next step up, not as crazy as I had originally planned (bigger CC's) but it's a step in the right direction. Plus jumping to bigger CC's right away brings with it some risk.

Do you think there will be a vast difference between the CBR250 and the G310R ? What did you have planned for a next bike before the G310R ?

There shouldn't be too large of a jump as long as you have the riding basics down. Maybe you'll even have more fun on a bike with a bit more power.

The new CBR 250s are definitely some good lookin' bikes. But at the same time, I feel like they're two completely different bikes setting aside engine size.

One is more of a cruising bike and the other is a fully faired sport bike. Not sure what the difference will be in terms of torque delivery at lower rpms.

I feel like the G310r should have more of a lower end torque delivery for getting up to cruising speeds whilst the CBR250 should have more of a top-end. That being said it won't have a huge top end, but more in terms of comparison to the G310r

If it proves to be a profitable product for BMW (which I think it will be) then with the next generation version we can expect that but don't wait on it, get something else if you must, otherwise you'll be waiting a very long time.
