Fluids and lubricants

Just wanted to start a thread for the fluids and lubricants that are used with the G310R. Please leave a post with the type/brand of fluids/lubricants that you use with your bike.

Oil: 15W-50 Advantec

Coolant: Antifreeze with corrosion inhibitor

Brake fluid: DOT4

Chain lube: seems to be paraffin based, waxy

Lubricants for other bike parts: ?

I'll most likely use what my brother has in the garage:
-plain old kerosene on a warm chain to clean
- a grunge brush
-Motul C2 lubricant

So far:

Oil: Valvoline 4-Stroke Motorcycle Conventional 10W-40 Motor Oil

Chain lube:
Motul C2 lubricant

Chain Cleaner: kerosene

You can probably get a can to test it out yourself, pretty cheap at around $13 a can. Just need to let it soak in overnight or else you could get some sticky buildup.

My biggest worry is the lube being flung around or attracting every bit of dirt on the road, especially because I want the GS model to go on some dirt roads.

I have a feeling they're banking on a large portion of riders being in the city. Couldn't tell you how many bikes like that I have seen in the city, makes you question WHY BOTHER. Can't see myself riding around the city in anything but a cruiser or sport bike.

to come

My G310r just had the first 1000 km check.
Everything okay !
After Some days and a small Ride I found fluid under the beamer !!!!!!!!
Oil ?
Informed my dealer and h asked to come to the shop.
There they found out is was cooling liquid.
The pump was leaking and they are going to change the pump.
Ordering the parts ........ gasket can be delivered in october (2017)

They are trying to get the parts earlier (steal them from te factory) but untill then I can Ride the beamer, just have to pay attention to the fluid level.

Strange that they can deliver a new bike and ..... No spare parts.

This is generally the case with new bikes and cars, the factory produces the full models before they start churning out spar parts. Maybe if the dealership specifically orders something, they'll make an extra and ship it over?

Same problem here, less than 1000kms and engine coolant leak. Seems to be a problem with this model. My bike was collected and awaiting a response in terms of waiting period for parts. Also dropped bike, and no eta on clutch lever. Gear selector bent - how I don't know - but at least that has arrived at dealer.
