Exhaust options

Having heard the sound of the new G310R, I must say that I am not that impressed. Does anybody know what aftermarket exhausts will fit the standard exhaust header? I see BMW have not mentioned if there is an akra exhaust available which is a shame...

Not sure about the exhaust since reviewers haven't really gone into detail about it. We probably won't hear more until we're closer to the release date. Expected arrival at dealerships Q3 2016.

I'm sure aftermarket exhausts will be available once the g310r starts arriving in dealerships and akrapovic will design something for it. They already have most if not all of the current BMW models covered.

Does akra come out with underslung exhausts for BMW models?

Not if the bike doesn't already come with a OEM underslung exhaust which the g310r is lacking.

Guess it's harder to change out the entire exhaust system than simply the slip on.

not really... especially if you've bought an exhaust system for that model...

Being a BMW, I'm sure there will be options eventually. Just have to wait for them to come out. Slip ons are always a possibility though.

Thought it was a lot harder to change from an underslung exhaust to one that sticks out? Or was it the other way around...

Not worth it to change from a non underslung exhaust to underslung. You lose a bit of power with the complete exhaust being shortened, reduced ground clearance and probably something else I can't recall.
