side stand wire

Has anyone seen this before. Is this normal exposed wires to the side stand, I guess its the cut off switch for the side stand.
What I'm concerned about is the crap and crud from riding will get to it and cause issues.
Is this normal and Okay, if not any solutions.

if you want an additional precaution, tape it over, or put some goop on exposed wires.

I am guessing yours is the same too.
I have gone a bit overboard with the ACF50 .
Does anyone know if the connector just pulls out - If so I may put some shrink wrap on.

I can't remember what site it was on but I have seen a billet aluminum protective cover for the side stand switch.

Fiddle with a small screwdriver on the clip and it comes apart. Mine was full of water after the dealer washed the bike. Blasted it with WD40 then filled with Vaseline. Covered the exposed wiring with black silicon seal.
