rear engine to frame bolt

I am in the process of installing my new crash bars (Rumbux) but I'm having issues removing the "rear engine to frame bolt" as requested by the manufacturer.
Looks like the head of the bolt (on the break pedal side) is too large to come through the U shape of the pedal.
I am wondering if anyone had the same issue... Lots of kicking and swearing in the last 2 days and I am not too sure how to overcome that one.
The manual for the bars is saying that I don't have to re use the bolt (as the bars are coming with a new long bolt) - I was thinking of filing part of the head so that it fits through that tight space.

Any one with an idea - Thank you!

Best I can get , mock up where it fits from front to back and you will see correct bolt to replace, jack up underneath engine and obviously secure with paddock stand at back, hope this helps
