Givi S250 tool box

Just outlaid $154. Au dollars on what I thought would be a nifty Givi box to locate my tool kit and odds and ends. It is supposed to fit under the pannier rack. I waited 4 weeks for it to arrive only to find that I must now outlay another $110. For the fitting kit (nuts and bolts and bracket). The worst part of that is it will take 8 to 10 weeks for it to arrive here in Australia and then there is delivery on top of that. I think I can make up something for it a lot cheaper than that. Iím not at all happy with this as I thought the initial outlay was a bit expensive, but I was prepared to cop that because I like to have my tools and stuff out of the way, it is definitely not worth $260. I doubt I will look at anymore of their gear.

Maybe that S250 should be $250. You should complain to Givi, as it would be reasonably expected that the case would come with all hardware required to fix it to the pannier rack.

I have just sent of an email complaining about it. Not hopeful of the outcome. But you never know.

Got no satisfaction from Givi regarding the mounting bracket for the tool box. I wanted to use it for storing my GPS and stuff like that in rather than carrying them around whenever I leave the bike for a while. My main complaint was the cost when combining both the box and the bracket ($260.00 AU) when I could have purchased a pair of E22N Monokey paniers for $40.00 AU more. Anyway, thatís my gripe I wasnít going to pay for the bracket I didnít like the look of it with all its bits and pieces, so I made my own out of a bit of 3mm aluminum plate I had laying around. It took a couple of hours, but I am satisfied with it. Just need to pull it off and clean it up and repaint it.

I have to admit that the info for these S250 boxes was pretty difficult to figure out at first, mostly because everyone selling these just "copy & pastes" basic info, shows generic pictures of it fitted (misleading) and doesn't elaborate any further. It was pretty logical after searching the net, then I figured out what was required. I hope this info helps anybody out there looking to get one of these!

The box is part number #S250, and is a generic box for every bike/set of racks.
The bracket is part number #S250KIT, which is a generic item to fit pretty much any brand of pannier racks.

For the G310GS, you will need to buy both of these items as the OP mentioned. Givi make model specific brackets for most popular bikes, and these will have their own unique codes. We just need the generic one (S250KIT).

I held off buying this set for ages until I found a good deal, and managed to get both on eBay from Germany for $207 delivered (which only took 5 days). Hopefully this clears any confusion for anyone wanting this setup!
