Handguards no compatible

Hi!

After few weeks of searching the perceft shaped handuards today I managed to find something that I felt will fit the overall shape including the colorways of my GS. They are the Rtech Gladiator Easy handuards. No metal frame, just a full plastic guard system- I just wanted to get them for the optical tuning, not for real guard purposes.
Price was really fine for what I get, 29 Euro including every bolts for the installation.
Now I am really sad as I wanted to install the handuards, but it seems they won't fit my BMW.
There is a problem with the too long clutch and brake levers.
Now I have to look after another resolution. There are few more options with different designs from the same brand, but they all just getting more expensive. Though I quite sceptic now if any of the more expensive types will be able to fit my bike perfectly.

Let me show You some pics. What do You thing about the design?
Any other ideas about how could I install them perfectly, without I change the handugards in the shop.

Kind regards for Your help and opinions!

Besides returning them the only option I see is buying shorter levers... that would still be trial and error but chances are it would work. Of course you need to consider the action/feeling on the shorter levers will be different and might or might not suit you.
Not sure how long the stock ones are but here's a picture with some metrics of such a shorter model.
Good luck!

Garage
How about fixing the handguards to the outside of the bar ends, not the inside? Would that make a difference?

flat bar

Get some flat bar and make a bridging piece from the clap to the guard mount. Or a bit of round and make longer mounts from guard to bar clamp.
Or a bit of flat from clamp to guard with a L bend at the guard end to drill and tap or drill and nut and bolt.
Maybe you have a local small engineering shop close you ask to look in their scrap bin and make a donation to their tea fund.
They do suit the bike.

You can get adjustable levers that are adjustable for length as well as throw. Pretty cheap too.

Now, I can't do that because the other end should have to reach the bar, but it is still a little bit short. All in all, I returned the handguards today and changed them for a one handed versions.
I just tried them on the bike but unfortunately no pictures were made. The would be able to fit, but caused another problem: With the guards on, I can't close the handlebar to full . Ok, during riding it is not a natural problem, so it would cause uneasy situations only in the parking lots...
Tomorrow I will give them another try, maybe make some photos and I will let You to decide if they look good in the bike or not.

I got a set from Powerbronze. Fit with no mods. Looks factory.
