I am still concerned about this side stand cut out switch, even tho I not had any issues. It seems very vulnerable to me if off road and or water get in.
Just in case it gets knocked or fails in middle of the back of beyond. Does anyone know which wires use to bypass it.
Mine had a habit of coming out of the holder thus not allowing the bike to start. This indicates to me that it breaks the circuit to prevent starting in gear if the clutch is not pulled in. If that is the case then you would only need to bridge across the terminals at the end of the lead to the switch to restore running in the event of a problem.
It is a bad design as far as potential water ingress is concerned, so I just sealed the connector area with silicon and have had no trouble since.
Connect the black-green with the yellow-blue and insulate the red-green. After this the bike thinks that the side stand is in all the time. Off course insulating the connected two wires could also be beneficial.
