Got my G310R yesterday!

Hi all,

I'm from the UK and found this forum while I was searching around for a new exhaust to put on my brand new G310R.

It's my first bike and it's an absolute treat, my dad has an S1000R it literally looks like my bike's big brother!

It's smooth and lovely to ride, while being nippy and quick when I need it to be. The only thing is the sound with the stock exhaust, it sounds a little suppressed idle but when revving it actually sounds quite nice!

All in all, I love my G310R!

Welcome, and congrats on the first bike!

As far as I am aware, only Akrapovic have released an exhaust for the G310's just now - Akrapovi? (can buy from here)

I'm sure many other manufactures will follow soon however.

Congrats on getting your first bike! Hopefully not the last. As for exhaust, the G310R is still relatively new so the aftermarket needs time to catch up and as Arwen said, only Akra has one right now.

Wouldn't be adverse to seeing your G310R alongside the S1000R.

I like this because the G310R looks literally like the S1000R's little brother!!

If it was all black, it would literally look like a mini S1000R haha that's cool!!

Welcome to the forums as well, great to have you aboard

Do you have any complaints other than the exhaust so far??

Looking good oldschoolwolf! I've heard of taking out the exhaust baffle for a louder sound, but I'm not familiar with the process or is if there are any negative implication from doing so.

I'd wait for yoshi to come out with something, they're pretty well known for being loud and sporty aren't they?

I'd love to change the white bits to black to make it all black!

The only things I can say about it is that the clutch is veryyyyy light so quite easy to stall and it's hard to find neutral sometimes but I think that's due to the fact it's a brand new bike and just needs working in still.

I've researched into taking the baffle out but I think it might be spot welded so I don't want to be messing around with that. Think I'm just going to wait for a nice slip on exhaust that I can stick on easy.

I can see that, I wouldn't want to tackle disassembly of that and trying to put it back together and all of that stuff. But if you do tackle making it all black, I would be interested to see the process!

Is there a way to stiffen up the clutch a bit? Stalling is one of those things you hate doing around the city, especially at lights with cars waiting to move behind you.

I'm horrible with finding the friction zone especially since I haven't ridden in a while, this could be bad for me when I'm trying to go from a dead stop. Let us know if ti improves over time.
