New owner/new driver

Hi all.
I own a G310R for a week and 200 km now.
Been riding a scooter for the last 10 years, and at some point I decided that I will need to restart my motorbike experience (last one was more than 20 years ago), with something that can brake when needed.
To justify my choice, after looking into several amazing (at the looks at least) bikes, I bumped on an article (originally I was interested on the GS) by accident, and after a test ride and some advise from my real life biker friends, and some great feedback from you (especially the experienced) guys here in the forum (been visiting as a guest), here I am!

Main reasons I chose this one, was the looks, the price, some comments about being a very good "entry" bike and the comfort I felt when I did the test ride.

(Ok, in reality it was that I had a sudden middle life crisis and the fact that my wife liked/approved it).

So thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences up to now, and apologies in advance for the stupid questions I ll make, being a clueless driver.

At the moment, bike suffers in my hands through the bumpy roads of Thessaloniki, North Greece.

Nikos,
welcome tot the forum and congratulations on your new bike.
I too had a motor scooter before this G310R (honda pcx 125) and loved it but missed the power.
My last motorcycle was a BMW F800ST which I sold in 2012.
Before I had several BMW's but at one point in time I didn't feel happy/ comfortable on the F800 ( or motorcycles in general)
The scooter gave me back the fun In rIding on two wheels and after a intensive test ride, I bought the G310r.
So far I have put 2700 km's on the clock and I love this bike 100%.
Looking forward to hear more from you.

Thanks Zente, Bas and bmwrider.
Bas, I have reached 300 km now, and my short experience suggests that it is a lot more fun, more convenient and I feel much safer on that, than on my 300cc piaggio scooter. Brakes and stops with the scooter were a joke.

Of course, it takes time to get used to it, and I am driving like a duck at the moment, yet, everyday I feel more comfortable with it.
Only issue is (and probably will be for some time, don't wanna mess with the nice naked look by putting a top box ) the lack of carrying capacity. On the bright side, I carry only the essentials.

Oh, forgot to say, that I have also bought my first two accessories, the suggested tank pad sticker 'from Portugal" mentioned in another thread (after seeing the first spill by a careless petrol employee on my tank), which ended on a disaster (wrong colour).
And more importantly, ordered a nice schuberth helmet. My old Bell helmet was too noisy (and 3 years old) and the jet helmet was about to leave my head on every acceleration.
Found an amazing discount and got the S2 for 326Euros.

Thanks to my island and the rest for the welcoming.
Once more, the majority of comments were right. Everyday you drive it, it feels better!
