Hi from NE England

Hi. I'm Blackie. I've just got my blue 310r a few weeks ago.
I'm, shall we say, a senior biker. First bike- BSA C15 250cc in 1967,then
moved up to BSA A10 Super Rocket 650cc. Various bikes until 1971 then a Long gap until three years ago. Returned to biking with a Honda CRF250L then onto a Honda CB500X and now having sold those have in my garage a 2017 Yamaha Tracer MT09 850cc Triple and of course my latest addition- A 2017 BMW G310R.
Won't bore you any longer!
Regards
Blackie.

Hi Blackie and enjoy the forum.

I find when riding the 310r, I quite often have deja vu moments of my Bultaco Metrella from the late 60’s. There is something special about these light and nimble singles.

I lived in Boston/Cambridge/Jamaica Plain for 10 years, miss the city.

Enjoy your 310!

Wow! I remember the Metralla. My friend had a brand new 1965 Metralla 200 and it was a bullet both in acceleration and top speed. It would outperform bikes twice its size. A race bike in disguised as a street bike!

Did you have the 200 or the 250?

Hi Blackie, like you, at 64 I am a senior biker. I have just downgraded from an F800ST to a 310gs, loving it and still not run in yet. Based in Wetherby, West/North Yorkshire border.

I had a 250, looked exactly as your pic. Later on got a ‘74 model that had more modern plastics and electrics, but was still a weapon. Would leave the single Dukes of the day in the dust.
