Installed Givi windscreen. Haven't ridden yet, we'll find out in the morning how it feels on the road.

Was going to the gym today, hit a dog and crashed. Unfortunate day, thankfully I'm unscathed but I can't say the same for the dog sadly. Estimated repair costs are upwards of 400.

Spoke to the BMW dealer yesterday and I'm buying a 2018 310GS, Pearl White with 900 miles on it. My autoimmune disease gives me enough grief that I've decided to down size. The past years I've been on an R1100RT, ST1100, another R1100RT and lastly an FJR1300. Will be heading to the dealership, 90 miles away, mid week to pick up my new to me BMW. It has an aftermarket windshield and that's about it. So, time to farkle it up for my riding.

Best days to ride end in "Y"

Will the dog's owners pay? or was it a stray dog?

Sorry to hear. A few weeks ago I came across a guy who had just hit an adult deer. Bike totally smashed, leaking everything, his gear covered in blood from the deer and him still disoriented (Angeles Crest in Los Angeles). It happens... I hope you get it fixed soon. Cheers

When I was on the ground, the poor thing was lying there as well. After receiving help from a stranger that pulled over and helped me get up, the dog was mystically gone. I remember it wearing a collar though. Normally the owner has to pay up, but we don't know whose the dog is and where it went; there's also the high possibility that the owner will just take off the collar and pretend it's not his to avoid paying.

It was honestly a pretty shocking experience, it took me a good 10 minutes to digest what had happened.

I haven't actually done it yet - but tomorrow.
My boss has told me I have 4 hours to take before end of month and the only day available is tomorrow or lose them. Plan is :
Leave work 1pm ride up and over to Sutton Bank (big ish Hill) and down to Helmsley Market Place (Biker hang out), have a coffee. Over the North York Moors via Farndale (famous for its daffodils) and down Rosedale Chimney Bank (UK steepest hill) to Whitby, for Fish n Chips. Then home. Round trip of 120 miles.

Just arrived at work today and there's some pretty fine weather. In 7 hours in which I finish work, I will go to the mechanic and retrieve the bike; he told me it's ready except the turn signals which haven't arrived yet.

@KiwiJeeper , are those BarkBusters installed on your GS? If so, you confirm that they do not interfere with Givi Windscreen?

Take care and ride safe
