G310R Exhaust Sound

Here's a video of someone revving the G310R. Kind of reminds me of a lawn mower but I'm sure that can be easily fixed with a different muffler.

Yea.. lawn mower did come to mind. The exhaust is probably going to be the first thing to change. Wonder which aftermarket companies will be dishing out parts for it though

I wouldn't mind spending money on something from Akra or a similar brand. But that's not going to be for everyone, it's not easy to absorb the cost of their systems.

Even their slip on exhausts aren't exactly cheap but if that;s what you want then by all means. I'd probably go with yoshi if they do come out with an exhaust kit for the g310r.

They do hold value well enough which can help depending on who you are, so for those guys that like to own a bike for a year or two, they won't be in for much of a loss.

Akra is quite expensive. I would like to go with a custom setup though.

If you have the means to get it done or know a good shop then go ahead but usually people go for a cheaper aftermarket system, that's where most fall into, then the small percent get akra and the like.

If you can weld and machine your own then custom would be the more affordable option but I neither have the equipment nor the knowledge so the aftermarket is where I'll go. There's plenty of exhausts out there that sounds mean but without a matching price tag.

There's gonna be a lot of stuff from Thailand I'm sure, as there usually is for the smaller bikes, that are very affordable. Quality I'm unsure of and sound but they look good

Yup. Downside for us is it will take a while for that stuff to come here. If you try to get it before on your own, shipping costs will add up quickly. So you have to really want this stuff, unless you put together a group buy...we have a sizable group here.
