Thumbs up Keeping an eye on the 310GS

Hi everyone,

New member here from lovely Scotland,UK. Currently riding around on a Honda MSX 125 and now starting to look for a garage mate for it. Love the look of both the 310R and GS, however the GS sounds like it will suit my needs most. So just joining up to keep up to date with news on these two lovely new bikes!

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you plan to have the Honda MSX 125 as your daily ride and the GS your weekend adventure bike. BMW seems to have it the nail on the head with the new 310R lineup. I'm excited to see one day test ride bot the R and GS.

Yea the MSX will continue to be used for most of the commuting and riding around the city. The GS for going further afield with.
I noticed that my closest BMW dealer now has the prices up for both the R and the GS. Gotta say I was pleasantly surprised that the GS bade didn't add much more on!

Your local dealer has the G310 GS model price already? It's not even on the BMW site yet. How much is the GS MSRP? I'm looking forward to the GS model too.

That's actually very affordable for an adventure bike even if it is only 313cc and ABS comes standard. I'm looking forward to ride reviews from the UK once the G 310 GS goes on sale.

I'd really like to see some side by side testing of the two. Test ridden by the same rider so you can get an accurate comparison

If my dealer has both, I plan on taking both for a test ride. I'd rather have the GS as it is more suited to what I want from another bike. However the slightly higher seat might be too much for me, depending on the weight distribution. So I'll report back when I can :-)

They have a low seat available for the GS model and it has a seat height of 820mm. I assume with anyone's body weight added, that would sink down a bit too. Seems like more people are interested in the GS model here than the R. But who can blame us, the adventure segment has been gaining in popularity recently.

I think I do remember a time when the GS hype was building completely and the whole recent discussions list was filled with GS threads lol. I was gonna ask if we should change the site name haha
