Hi from Oakland

Hey everyone,

I've been enjoying all the info on this forum, and just picked up my new Stratos Blue G310R. (Found a nice used one with 1k miles at too good a price to pass up.) I've been riding a couple of years (got my M1 at 40!), and this is probably the bike I should have bought first. I love how light, balanced, and easy to ride it is—and so much fun!

I think I'm going to install the Akro exhaust sooner rather than later, and then will consider other mods. For demographic information, I'm female (which seems to be less common on this forum than I expected!)

Welcome. I would go with the carbon fiber Akro, easy to install and can easily do yourself even if you never changed one. Easiest one I ever did, exhaust and pipe came right off, no fenagling.

So far there is no Power Commander 5 for bike. You can look at site below for ECU performance (similar to PC5) I will be getting one for my 2017 Hyosung GD250R and then maybe for my 310GS.

NOTE: the Akro will not change bike a lot (sound better, slight performance),however. if you and the ECU tune and open airbox, the throttle may become a little twitchy and low speeds. I modified my RC390 this way and it is hand to maintain a smooth lower speed as any slight throttle input accelerates the bike. Other than that, it is great. Can actually wheelie without using clutch in 1st just by blipping throttle on and off.

Enjoy riding
