I have problems refueling my G310R

I have constantly struggled to refuel my G310R since I purchased it in 2017.
Some gas pumps works the others do not. I have to memorize which pump and at which gas station in order to refuel.
The nozzle on the pump does not go in, there is a plastic piece inside the tank that stops this.
The rubber seal on the pump does not cover the opening on the tank for an airtight seal either.
Last Friday, four different pumps at the gas station A, and two different pumps at gas station B would not work.
In desperation, since I have to ride into work today, I filled up a plastic fuel container and used a plastic funnel to get fuel into the tank.

Could someone please help me out by stating what Im doing wrong and the correct way to insert the nozzle into the tank so that I can fill up easily at any gas station. Pics would help.
Thank you all,
Coachudu

Hi Coachudu

I don't have pics but this is what I do: I hold the nozzle with my right hand and with my left hand I press the rubber piece up against the nozzle (using my index and middle finger). Then I stick it in and keep pressing up until it's filled up.

That is the trick. Pull back the spring-loaded flange on the fuel nozzle. Be careful not to fill too quick or fuel will spill out (don't ask).

I'm an Aussie, but I have ridden in the US a number of times and remember those stoopid pumps where you have to fiddle about with the pump nozzle foreskin thing. Stoopid.

Anyway, I pack one of these gizmos from Duluth-based Aerostich:

This is another one of their products:

Thank you.
I have ordered the card.
Will let all of you know if this has fixed my problem.
Thank you once again.

Well, good luck with that card. But what’s wrong with just using your left hand to pull back the rubber pump “gaiter” when filling up? Seems like a much simpler, and cheaper, solution to me.

I also got the plastic card but found it can also be just as fiddly to apply, so now I just use both hands to fill up.

Do you have safety sleeves on pump nozzles in India? It may not be a problem for you, but for people in States that have those sleeves it's not a lot of fun.
