Going through Man-O-Pause

I am going through Man-O-Pause i am told (my son's idea)! Why? Because i bought the 310R for my 63rd birthday on 21st March this year, as a gift to myself. The intention is to get on those saddle-bags and take off one of these wonderful days for a 2000 mile journey across the country.
It will happen. Just a matter of time.
In the meanwhile i am playing with accessories, gear, and beautification. I have fixed golden levers, one of the neatest trail-packs, and i'm waiting to fix sliders (need to figure out where they fit), a radiator grill, and eventually strap on those saddle bags!
G0MYW and lbeken005 like this.

Welcome, and don't feel the slightest bad about your choice. I bought my 310R at the age of 72 because my beloved K75S became too heavy to handle comfortably. Funny how things get heavier as we grow older.

In addition, my left hip was replaced four years ago and the one piece of advice from the surgeon I will always remember is, "Never, never overextend your left leg. The ball will pop out of the socket and I will hear you scream no matter where you are." My solution - it's time for a lighter BMW with a lower saddle and the 310R hit the mark. It's an absolute hoot to ride.

Enjoy your new BMW and don't give a thought to Man-O-Pause. It's actually a lot of fun!

Golden levers for the golden years.

Time waits for no one and age isn't a factor.

Don't "Pause" for nobody. I would argue that it isn't Man-O-Pause but Man-On-The-Go. Strap on those saddle bags and make it happen.

Safe travels.

Just hit the road
Adventure is waiting for you and it doesnít matter how old you are (iím 60)

We will go to a motorcycle campsite in the south of France.
Been there many years when we were younger and drove bigger (BMW) touring bikes.
Now we trailer the 310 all the way down south and drive into the mountains with our 310R near valence / crest.
Looking forward to see all the places again.
