Chains

I'm wanting to replace my chain but looking for advice for what are the best chains to use. Ideally not a BMW part but a high quality aftermarket one. Any links to websites you can recommend?

The oring on the chain are meant to keep the internal factory grease from spilling out and at the same time protect from outside elements. Worse that can happen is that the roller of this very unique link would wear quicker than the rest.
I would not change the chain ONLY for the fact one oring is busted out... but if you are at 20,000km (which is the prescribed mileage for replacement as per maintenance schedule) chances are the chain has stretched out and maybe you are due anyway? Measure 10 pins from center of each pins, if it exceeds 144.3 mm, the chain has reached end of its life and his due for replacement (source: owner's manual)
