Akrapovic stainless on a GS

Greetings! I just purchased a stainless Akrapovic exhaust for my GS. Any hints on the best way to compress the swing arm to get the bulge to slide up and in? Any suggestions appreciated!

Unbolt the shock absorber.

Thanks PJ. That is what I ended up doing. Lifted the back, removed the shock, and the pipe slid right in. Thanks!
