Hi Tonnetje - just a kindly reminder to please consider before you post a photo of a direct rival product in the vendor section of a specific manufacturer.

We of course welcome any discussion on how another manufacturer's product/s may work in relation to something Rally Raid manufacturer, but please do keep it in direct relation to something Rally Raid manufacture or propose to manufacture, when posting in their Vendor section.

Tonnetje, I think Jenny is right, and why don't you open either a Wunderlich thread, or a risers comparison, so it's easier to search for

Hi Tonnetje - yes, it seems as with some other forums, there is only a period of time (an hour I think) before you cannot edit [and/or remove] posts once they have been made.

Don't worry, I understand where you were coming from - I was simply using it as an illustration of a wider point that I think is worth highlighting - especially on what is still a relatively new forum.

As I say, I'm sure we all appreciate that a 'forum' by it's very nature is designed to discuss all elements of the subject (in this case the BMW G310GS) it's been designed to support - it's simply that in a dedicated Vendor's section [which requires the company in question to financially support the forum as a sponsor], it ought to be considered inappropriate to post regarding a direct rival product, especially with no reference or comparison to the Vendor's own product in question.

Obviously if there is a particular product you wish to incorporate together with something Rally Raid manufacture - for example: a common question with our CB500X range is whether one or other brand of upper engine/tank-bars might fit with our own engine guard - then we'd be more than happy to help and advise of course.

Wunderlich make some excellent products for BMW, and I'm sure they will be expanding their own range for the 310GS - which many people will also find appropriate to help personalise their machines. Equally I'm sure the forum hosts would be delighted if they too became a sponsor with a dedicated vendor section to supplement the activity on the main forum threads and categories. ;o)

Following on from above - a video from Nathan riding in some nasty winter UK conditions - I can't imagine even trying to ride that lane at any kind of pace on a bigger GS, can you?!
