Strange Noises

Hi All, this is my first post. I have owned my G310GS for a couple of months now, and really like the bike.

There have however always been some annoying noises, sort of buzzing noises, from the bike after I have turned the engine off and the bike is just standing as I walk away!

I wondered if anyone out there has had a similar experience?

Thanks in advance 👍

Off topic (not to be taken seriously!):

Maybe, your bike is angry, as it likes to be on the road, and doesn't like to get turned off!

Same here, I suspect it is the fuel pump or air metering servos doing their shutdown routine. Anyone have a better explanation?

The same buzzing noise coming from the fuel pump, when you start your engine?

Here's a better explanation!

First sign you are possessed are the noises after shut-down!

that's the idle air control actuator resetting to start point. perfectly normal, nothing to worry about.

I knew there was a better name for it. There are videos of people with noisy IAC valves you can compare your noise to, but from OP's description and my own experience, that's the culprit:

Thanks all for your input, now I’ve got a good idea of what is going on with it 👍
