Why no rubber mounts on the rear foot pegs(pillion)

I have a 310r. What I have observed is, severe vibrations from the exhaust and those vibrations get transferred to the frame. And to make it worse, there is no rubber mounting, on the pillion foot pegs. The foot pegs vibrates badly and the seat also buzz along with the grab rail.

Was there a reason not to keep rubber mounted foot pegs? other than cost cutting. Have anyone else felt the same with the pillion?

Does your 310R vibrate more than others? Mine has vibrations, but they don't bother me (rattling of cables behind the dash or rattling of keys really bothers me though). After a 2 hour ride, the vibrations do start to take a toll on the hands, but it's still ok. I can't say that my bike has any severe vibrations.

Have you tried a different 310R to see if the same vibrations are present? Get the bike to your dealer to compare to another bike. If there is a problem, hopefully they will be able to pin point it.

Yes, it vibrates more. And very specific around 4.2 to 5 K rpm.
But the dealer is not ready to accept and terms it as normal.

Though increasing the Preload has reduced the vibrations.
