Crappy BMW Vibrating Mirrors - SOLVED

I saw this fix on youtube and tried it myself.

Instead of black, I used clear silicone.

The result was awesome! The vibration above 45MPH is 90% gone.
It is actually useful now. The mirrors are functional now above 45MPH.

These are caused by the handlebar vibrations or were the mirror itself responsible? What about the tank as well the seat buzz or vibration? Did you do something about that as well?

It's the glass coming loose in the housing. I had my mirror replaced under warranty.

There is a video I posted up of my issue somewhere on here.

Regardless of design issue or quality control issue, this silicon fix will seal the gap between the mirror’s edge and the housing. Do this if you are annoyed with your mirrors. It will cause a mess although it may seem like it at first. Just wipe off the excess.

This is a $6 fix.

I have gs, and installed KLX kawasaki mirrors and they are much superior and you see what is behind you without moving your neck to see what on the left and right.

as you love riding, you need to love you bike
