3D printing parts?

Has anyone tried 3D printing a fender eliminator kit for the 310R? I have access to a 3D printer and am trying to figure out if it's even viable to do so.

R&G makes one, but it is pricey. Depending on what your time is worth, the type/grade of filament, and how many tries it takes you to get the design worked out, you might be better off purchasing theirs. Plus I think their bracket is powder coated steel while yours would likely be PLA unless you've got a really good printer.

Do you have experience modeling parts, or does "access" mean you're keen on giving it a try for the first time?

TBH, no, at work we 3D print all sorts of stuff, but we can only do it in PLA/plastic, it works for the stuff we need that's great, but if we need a more robust version we send it off to the workshop for a better built version.
