Does anyone have any experience with a passenger on the 310gs?
Thanks

Yes, we do.
Most of the time I drive single butch sometimes the misses comes along
At first I did not change anything on rear shock absorber and tire pressure but today I changed the spring of the rear shock absorber.
The Beamer handles a little bit better but it’s not quite a big change.

Changing settings has to do with the weight you put on.
The heavier, the more to adjust but it is possible to change everything for a passenger.

And the seat is big enough for the both of us !

Everyone always comments how its small but very comfortable. However they also always comment how cramped they feel when they get off the bike; the ladies like it tons.

Also I agree with the above user, you have to lean slightly forward to be comfortable, which is fine for me as I always feel more comfortable slightly leaned forward than upright.

My wife always complains about two things: vibrations, and sliding forward. The first 100km are fine, the rest we take a lot of breaks. The next day of the trip it's even worse.

She says the vibrations become a problem above 5k rpm (~80km/h in 6th gear); below that they are tolerable. vibrations are worst through the passenger hand grips, and lower through the seat, as well as the pegs. The seat is her biggest problem.
When riding solo, I touched the rear parts of the bike (passenger grips, tail, frame) and they vibrate considerably worse than the rider's seat, handlebars, pegs. Moreover, the vibrations start to appear earlier in revs for the passenger than for the rider.
Her sliding forward is also a problem for me, as the passenger weight transfers partially to my lumbar spine, giving me a slight back ache after ~200km.
She also mentioned the seat is too narrow, but not a big issue in itself. Lengthwise, the seating is tight for both of us, but not uncomfortable. Not a problem.
The topcase helps her a lot to keep a relaxed torso. The topcase vibrates more when empty than when filled with 10kg of overnight gear.
With the added passenger weight, I find the bike perfectly controllable. I feel the additional weight not so much in the steering, but in the acceleration.
Since this is a bike that stalls easily, I have to rev it more from a stop than when I ride solo. It died on me twice in the middle of a left turn. That was nasty. I had to paddle-walk it to quickly get out of way of the incoming traffic.

The added weight stabilizes the bike better at high speeds. It's a pity that we have to keep it under 85kph to avoid vibrations in the passenger seat.

In conclusion, not the most comfortable passenger experience, but my wife still joins me once a year in a two day trip of max 250km/day.
