I view the G310R as a simple bike that needs little enhancement, but as my other bike is a BMW R1200RT full-on tourer with all the bells and whistles, I can't resist making a few minor changes to make the 310 that little bit better.
Front mudguard (fender) may be stylishly 'naked' but it's barely functional as such. A quick ride out here had the radiator, oil filter and much else spattered with road debris. A fender extender has taken the back of the mudguard down a bit further - it's still not great but it's better than nothing. I bought a Pyramid Extender Fender from Ebay UK:

Although I love the 'seat-of-the-pants' riding style of the 310, I was feeling pretty exposed to the wind after the protection of my RT, so a small windscreen was next on the list.
This MRA double bubble screen is minimalist but useful and was easy to fit - recommended by another member of the forum.

Next, I have found that the wing mirrors, although free of vibration, don't show much of the road, but plenty of my shoulders, so mirror extenders were clearly needed. I bought and fitted these, now I can see what's coming up behind me!
These are stylish and were easy to fit:

The side stand has a tiny footplate that sinks into non-tarmac or concrete surfaces way too easily, so I have ordered an enlarger from these people:

I'd also like to get a radiator protection grille from them at some point. What happens if a stone or bolt hits and punctures the oil filter, mounted right out in front on the engine I do not know, but I can imagine it could be messy and leave me stranded miles from home. Could do with a protective cover, really, but have yet to see one on sale.
Centre stand is an ongoing saga, as per my thread elsewhere on this forum. Hopefully someone can come up with a viable version soon, as a chain-driven bike without a centre stand is a real pain. Paddock stand isn't really the answer, I also like to park and store my bike on its centre stand - better for the tyres, I believe.
That's it for now.
