Good day
I want to change my oil but would like to know if there's an alternative than the original adventec pro which bmw uses,will it influence my warranty etc. since I want to change it every 5000ks. Also where can I buy the crush washer for the drain plug..

this is just my opinion & I'm no expert.

The oil is 15w50, so find a good local supply. [semi or fully synth]
Will it influence your waranty - probably yes - but how wouldthe garage tell which 15w50 you used.?
The engine is not a highly strung racing beast, its a fairly agricultural single cylinder.
I've changed my oil to5w40 for the winter, as its such a pig to start with 15w50
The crush washer is a fairly standard size, take it to your local bike shop they'll match it up for you.

Now I'll stand by to receive all the flak for not going 100% bmw - but its my bike and I'll do what I want to it, and accept the consequences. And I fully appreciate that many will always go BMW.
Remember this is just a TVS bike built in India with a pretty blue+white badge stuck to it.

If your only vehicle is the G310, it's a little difficult to take the crush washer to a dealer.
The BMW P/N for the alu gasket ring is 07 11 9 963 252 and it's measures 16 x 20 mm. If my memory isn't completely failing me, it's 1.5 mm thick. You can use a 2 mm also. Even a copper crush washer is OK for that purpose. But remember: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
The oil requirments are in the user manual but any oil is better than no oil at all.

Remember that the same oil is going to be used in the clutch and gearbox, as such there will be a bit of shearing and thinning of the oil occurring with use.

I had a similar problem with available oil for my 310GS.
I put fully synthetic 10-40 in BUT was then told by BMW Philippines to immediately drain and use 15-50 otherwise my warranty may be voided!
So I ordered this on line....

It is quoted as being warranty ‘safe’ for BMW motorbikes.

Have you guys heard about the TOYO MTEO 1550N SAE 15W-50 , from the first day, my G310R is using the BMW Motorad Advantec Pro 15-50 , yesterday is the first time I used the TOYO MTEO 1550N SAE 15W-50 .. the engine sound more silence if compare with the BMW Motorad Advantec Pro 15-50 .. and in Highway it is more smooth then using the BMW Motorad Advantec Pro 15-50 ...
anywhere this is the first time using other brand then BMW Motorad Advantec Pro 15-50.

At my dealer is was no problem to use my own oil, Mötul 10W50.
But they have put their own oil still on the bill in order to stay warranted I guess.
In wintertime <10°C ~ -6°C I have filled the bike with Valvoline 5W40 fully synthetic.
