Hello folks -

A couple of things I am thinking of possibly adding to my bike this is electrical.
- Extra driving lights.
- USB power to charge phone.
- Additional lights in the back.

All of these things make me wonder if I should get something like a simple power distribution block ... or maybe a slightly more intelligent module like the Rowe PDM.

Has anyone had the experience of putting something like this into the G310R? If so, where are common install points being used for these? Any gotchas to look out for??

TIA

No experience with adding lights and such, but I did add a USB charging plug and heated grips. To do so I've used the 2 auxiliary connectors already made for that purpose on the bike. This way you don't need to put any extra fuse or add wiring up to the battery, and no power will be drained by the accessories once you turn off the ignition.
The accessory/auxiliary ports are not very well documented, nor in the owners or service manual....
There is quite a long topic on the subject here: https://www.g310rforum.com/forum/169-electronics/2481-electrical-socket-location.html
To make it short, if you're trying to locate these auxiliary ports, see my own reply indicating where to find them: https://www.g310rforum.com/forum/66297-post50.html
If you're looking for the proper connectors to fit on these ports, instead of splicing the cables, see this reply: https://www.g310rforum.com/forum/70161-post69.html

I've got a Fuzeblock (https://www.fuzeblocks.com/) installed in mine. This is my second bike with one. I initially used a basic marine distribution block in another bike, but wanted more programmability and didn't want to go to the expense of a fully programmable block.

40K miles on the first one with no issues.

Note that mine is installed in a GS, but I would assume that the R has enough underseat room.
