Like always, I'm keeping an eye out for the G 310 GS and came across some ride reviews in a different language. I assume that means the G 310 GS are available for journalist testing and will soon be appearing at dealers?

I had to use google translate for this one, but it sounds like the G 310 GS is good for most rider heights?

Thanks for sharing. About the seat height it is mentioned it can be a bit intimidating for the smaller riders, not just because of the 835mm seat height but also because of the width of the seat itself. Then it says lower seat option is offered to address this...

Thanks for providing that link, hopefully soon enough we'll get a chance to sit on one of these at the upcoming shows. To me that experience really seals the deal.

I'm not expecting the GS to appear at dealers anytime soon if the English journalists haven't had a chance to ride them yet.
This one mentions that you can disconnect the ABS, something to look into if you're prone to standing on the pegs off road. Essai BMW G 310 GS

You had me at crash. :grin2: What's an adventure bike if it can't handle a few crashes?
I like how he says it's not intimidating at all, which is what's important for new riders like me and there's no shame with not standing up on pegs. And it's easy to pick up! But I should probably start hitting the gym this winter.

If I like it as much as I imagine, the real difficult part will be to persuade my wife in choosing option "C" in the question "Keep the R or swap for the GS?".
