I have just ordered a new G310R and have been told that a centre stand is not an optional extra in the UK, even though it can be ordered in other countries outside the EU. I suspect that the reason is that we have catalytic exhausts in the EU and the centre stand will not fit with the system. Can anyone confirm that?

Not located in EU but I tried looking for photos and I couldn't see anything. I'm sure someone on here would be able to chime in though and answer it accurately.

Cant see exhausts system on uk bike any different than any other country, centre stand would be great to clean wheels and always looks safer, I will ask at Rainbow about the stand, I ordered top box carrier but that seems not available yet, and its fitted as standard to the sc ? model.

It might be better to get setup with a paddock stand if you want the center stand for maintenance.

I think BMW did not expect to sell so many G310's !!!!!!!

About luggage, I ordered a toprack (easyrack) with a matching 40 liter topcase from Hepco & Becker.
It fits like a glove and mounting the rack took me around (only) 30 minutes.
It looks very nice.
Not great because the G looks better without but sometimes you need the extra space.

It was a classic case of built it and they will come, smart move I might add. Just look at how well the 250 and 300cc segments have taken off. The segment was asking for a product like the G310, people were getting bored of the typical CBR and Ninja... I sure was.

That's surprising, and a bit ridiculous when they had already put the effort in designing and manufacturing the frame with mounts ready to accommodate a center stand... ! Maybe extremely long delays in production made them remove it from catalogs for now...

Today my dealer told me i will have a refund on the down payment for the center stand.
I will get my money back !

BMW will not have a centerstand in the upcoming months (years ?) !!!!!!!!!!
