I've bought a dozen or so parts from Aliexpress. Of those, two didn't fit because they were for a pre-2020 310 rather than my 2022 (despite the listing saying 2022). I asked for a refund via the Aliexpress 75-Day Buyer Protection Money back guarantee and they refunded my money with no issues.
Getting the wrong year part isn't an issue in your case because BMW shows the same starter motor part number for all models from 2016 to 2023. The Aliexpress version certainly looks like the same as the BMW.
If it was me, before I bought a new one, I would disassemble the old one and clean everything, especially the contacts. The Aliexpress diagram below shows what the inside likely looks like.
If that doesn't work, I'd try the Aliexpress version. please let us know what you do and how it turns out.
