Hey guys,

I installed the GIVI rack, but I notice the exhaust is too close to the bottom of rack, now I am worrying about the heat from exhaust if I installed the saddlebag. Any good idea?

Okay, the real question bothers me now is those wires extrended outside due to moving the signal lights backward. Any good idea for waterproofing them?

my hepco racks are also very close to the exhaust, but i think it is not an issue. as to the wiring, wires are sealed and they are also protected by by some black tape. if you wish additional protection, you can add more tape or some rubber sleeve.

Do you know what kind rubber sleeve would work? I original idea was to get some saddle bags, but now I am leaning towards to hard panniers due to the exhaust, I probbaly will buy Kappa or GIVI DLM36. And I just realize the hard panniers of my chinese friends are all cut in order to avoid the exhaust (which is not good looking in my opinion, even though the price is much reasonable )

just use some electric tape. not sure if it is needed. i have the same situation, and it is ok. as long as there is 10mm from the side bad to exhaust, it is ok. the pipe at the end is not so hot.

the indicators will not be touched by side bags. the reason why they are relocated is to make them more visible. anyway, what is the problem with relocating them? 'waterproofing' is not an issue. and it is easy to access them, if in the future you want to fit led ones.

I just thought you were relocating them because they were touching the side bags. Relocating for greater visibility is a good idea.

its more safety oriented. So I like it. I have friends not removing them, they think it was ugly.

i just fitted Akra exhaust, and it is a couple inches lower than the stock one. so this will for sure assure that side bags will not get affected by the heat.
