just been watching a walkround video of the GS, it looks like the front mudguard is longer than the one on the R, so if this is correct, instead of fitting a fender extender, why not just fit the one off the GS?

Might be possible but not sure if it would very nice. Remember the GS is supposed to have a taller rim, so while it could fit, there might be a considerable gap between the fender and the tire.

would be interesting to know if the R1200R fender would fit on the 310. Seems that the R1200R fender in red is longer than the fender in black when you look at the pictures on the BMW website.

The R nineT fender would look awesome if it fit onto the 310, wouldn't provide any more coverage, but would look very cool.

I think that the R nine T fender may be too wide even if the wheels are the same diameter (17")

Kind of disappointed there has been no one so far that did custom work as yet since the G310R seems like a great platform to me, custom fender is what i'm after.
The accessory manufacturers are starting to get going on the G310R. Givi will soon start making screens, racks, handguards etc. Wunderlich are also making some parts as does SW-Motech, Puig etc.
A fenda extenda is now available from Pyramid plastics and is advertised on the UK E-Bay website by some sellers.
Unfortunately, the GS will come with a 19" front wheel so that mudguard would not suit the 310R model which has a 17" front wheel.
Being a new bike, it always takes a while for accessories to come on sale.

Does anyone own an R Nine T and a G310R? I'd really like to know if the front fender from the R9T fits on the 310. I saw them both at the dealership side by side, the dealer also thought that the fender looked like it would fit, but would need to actually fit one to the G310R to be sure. They haven't been too keen to remove the fenders from the new bikes to check.

The silver sides of the R9T fender would really complement the silver handles at the back of the G310R.
