Has anyone tried removing the front left and right plastic flaring on the G310R?
I want to remove it to give the bike a more naked look. Anyone know any negative consequence -- like more heat coming out of the engine? or less protection for some parts on a crash?

Doesn't that piece protect the sides of the air filter in case the bike gets laid down?

It's easy to take off, I had the side fairing off when I got the panels sprayed.

When you take them off, remove the front two and rear bolts, keep the top (middle) bolt in place till last.

The bike looks a bit skinny without the fairings, a little bit too naked for my taste. (would be good to have a happy medium)

you're right. I unscrewed the flarings and it didnt look good. Too many wires and loose parts hanging out. I'll look at coloring it black instead. Thanks

Take a picture once you've sprayed it! If it looks good, maybe other will do the same as well.

One of the people that bought a G310R at my dealer, bought the black one and, before putting on the first Km's, had the side panels sprayed in the same black color.
It looked much and much better then with the white panels.
I was able to make any pictures then but when I see that black G, I will make a photo and post it.

here you go. I actually had it foiled black. Had some seat covers installed as well
