Has anyone fitted the Givi or Kappa screen to their GS? They are the same screen, just different branding. The screen is 47cm high and 37cm wide, although 32cm wide at the top of the screen. Seems like a good height and width but just wondering whether it actually works!

Maximus, you've fitted one and I know you've seen my post of the one I made. Your one is about 5cm higher than mine and 2 cm wider at the top on both sides.

Thanks francoisps - I left out half of his name!

BTW, tripod, what windscreen are you using and how do you find it? Is it a tall ZTechnic?

Yes, it’s the Ztechnik VStream Touring model (Z2362) & I purchased it from advdepot.com (currently $134.96) but it’s available through quite a few vendors. I really like it...

Here are the screens I have found so far for the GS. I'm leaning towards the Puig. The Puig is still under construction but due to be available in the next month or so.

The Puig looks good. Also saw this vario screen with a deflector on ebay.
The Puig model also has an optional visor, I think I will try the screen without the visor first, that's if shipping costs to AU makes that feasible.

I've got the Kappa on my GS. I am 189 cm tall, and it works very well. With my height I get some buffeting on the helmet at around 100 km/h, but not much. If I bend down a little bit it is totally quiet, so I'm guessing that if you're less than 180 cm it should do well at highway speeds also. I've got the high seat on mine which puts me a bit higher on the bike as well. Speed limits in Norway is mostly 80 km/h, and at most 100, so it's not a real issue on my end.

I had one of these deflectors mounted on the original screen while waiting for the Kappa, but I haven't mounted it on the new screen as it had cracked the plastic on the old one. It is mounted with set screws that are covered with a rubber flap, and if you tighten these too much - the plastic might crack. Don't know what material the original screen is made of, but I wouldn't expect Lexan to crack like that. Maybe I'll put the deflector on and be careful not overtightening the screws...
