Hello,
I'm Barbara from Germany and I picked up a nice red GS last week. It's nearly new with about 900 km/560m on.

In cause of corona I can't register the bike because all authorities are closed and so I only can visit it in the garage :crying:.

Now I look forward to a lively exchange in this forum and will try to write in a halfway understandable english :wink2:.

Best regards
Barbara

Welcome Barbara. Most of us are quite nice people. As to to your English skills, I'm sure you'll do fine, most of us are pretty lousy in German. Nice to see you got yourself the fastest color, like mine ;-)

Oh no, the name of this swedish club is not so good,
for german people, especially a lady :wink2:
Hello Barbara,
greetings from Rhine and Mosel
The company BMW tried to make us change the name in the early years of the club. As we persisted, they gave up.
The world is full of words that mean something in one language and something completely different in an other, sometimes something really bad :wink2:
In Finish language "puolisosi" means your husband, in Russian it's a vacuum cleaner. I have a good fried who's name is Seppo, in Finnish it's means (black-)smith, in an arabic dialect in Tunis, it's a vulgar name for the male organ for reproduction. In Sweden they like to take a "fika", in Italy it's a vulgar name for the female organ for reproduction. A common nickname inSweden for a boy named Per, Pär or Pierre is Pelle, in finland that means a clown. In German a Sonder Preisknüll is a very good offer, in Sweden it's also a very good offer, for a very good intercourse. I could go on for a long time like this, but I don't think this is the right organ (pun intended) for that :wink2:
Ps. I live in an emancipated society where women and men are equal and don't need to be protected from each other. By the way, ladys do it too, if they didn't, there would be no babies.

What's wrong with the name of the Swedish club? BMW-Klubben SVerige is the official name, what part of that do you find offensive? Or is it the badge that says BMW MC-klubben that you find containing improper language?
