I just became a member of the G310R forum.
Looking forward to all your topics and usefull information.


I'm a BMW rider for the last 37 (!) years, riding 2 R65's, a 60/5, R100RS, R80RT, R80, 3 K75's, a 850 and R850RT and a F800ST.
Now a brandnew G310R and after putting on the first kilometes on the clock, i'm loving it.


Now I'm looking for a toprack / toppannier for the G310R and it looks like i'm going to buy that from Hepco&Becker.
Anybody already some experience with H&B ?

Welcome to the forum! Never tried Hepco&Becker products before, but the rear rack looks pretty nice and it could double as a sort of rear passenger back rest.

Welcome to the forum, I have bought a leather duffel bag for the back and plan on using rok straps to hold it down. I'll take some pictures once I receive it.

Colour

My G310R is a blue one.
The white one looks too racy and the black one is okay if the side panels where black too

Welcome to the forums. The blue does look really nice especially because the whole bikes looks a lot more uniform than the other colors make the G310R look. What is the odometer reading now??

I bought the G310R in April but every weekend I already had planned something else.
I was not able to put some km's on the clock.
I made an appointment for the first service (1000 km) for next week and in the few coming days I will put some extra km's on the clock.
Then .................. vacation time (season) will arrive and hopefully this gives me time to ride the "G".

Now that the summer season is here, you can take some nice weekend trips outside of the city with your G310R. Never been to the Netherlands but I have seen some pictures of amazing roads and sights that you can ride to.

Hepco & Becker

I juist ordered and mounted the 'easyrack' and junior 40 topcase from hepco & becker.
It fits like a glove and the installation took me About 30 minutes.
Looks great.
I now have 40 liters extra space for raingear, working material etc. Etc.

Do you at least protect the leather with some mink oil or another type of product?

Only just got it, it's real goat leather and good quality ($80 on ebay from India). I'll use some saddle cream (horse type) to protect the bag.

Does the H & B Junior 40 top case have enough room for a full face helmet? Also I notice the Junior 40 has a handle. Can it be released from the rack easily so it can be taken with you?

I had H & B C-Bow mounts and Oval bags for a previous motorcycle. The mounts worked well but the bags were on the small side. I ended up adapting the mounts to use Pelican cases which were not as pretty but had more useful storage capacity for my purposes.

The H&B topcase is more then big enough for a full face Helmet.
I bought the easy rack that has a foldable piece that you only have to use when you use the topcase.
In other circumstances you can fold that piece down and you will have a flat rack.

That foldable piece is for putting the topcase on the rack
On the rear side is a lock that holds the topcase on the rack.
It feels okay !

It's quite easy to get the topcase on and off and 40 liters is, in my opinion, more than enough.

Hi Bas, looking for rack for top box myself, looked at H+B also Ventura do one both look as if they fit to were grab handles fit but with longer bolts, I have a print of carrier that will `I hope` available soon and is standard on the GS model it replaces grab handles on the 310, so they will be cluttering the garage up but does look smarter than the one`s available now, I think !

At least fitting the Hepco rack for top box your grab handles aren't redundant.
