Hello G310 owners. I've been soaking up the great info on here for about a month in the course of looking for an Xmas present and great starter bike for my two sons. Both my "boys" (25 & 32) have passed MSF course, owned dirt bikes in past, but have very limited street experience. If all goes well and the GS works for them I hope to buy another in the coming year.

I purchased a red 2018 G310GS on 11/30 for $6,021.00 OTD in Texas. Dealer had just received a couple 2019's, still crated, and was willing to deal on the remaining 2018 with 2 miles. I drove it home from dealer (18 miles) and a few times since to bed the brake pads and scrub the tires in a bit. Fantastic bike for the size and price!

I'm 57 and have been riding about 50 years. Started in the dirt (Z50, Trail 70, XR75, RM125) and received my motorcycle street license at 15 (Yamaha DT, 100cc 2-Stroke!). I have 8 motorcycles presently. 2 BMW's: F800GT (Touring) and F650 Xmoto (Supermotard); H-D Sportster; Ducati S2R1000R, and several MX & XC Racing Bikes: KTM 150 SX/XC, Husky TE/XC310R, Beta Factory EVO 300 (Trials Bike), and a trusty Honda CRF230 pit bike I use primarily for training off-road newbies.

For the 310GS I have ordered and/or in process of installing the Akropovik Stainless Exhaust, Shorai Battery, Givi hugger, Koso Heated Grips, SW Motech crash bars, LED Headlight, Fornt & Rear Axle Sliders, Tank Pads and Tail Bag. I hope to also add Protaper or Twisted Engineering bars and Hand Guards from my spare parts inventory before Xmas. I also have some PIAA LED Driving Lights purchased for my F800 but never installed that will probably get mounted to the GS's crash bars.

Anyway, keep the rubber side down and thanks for all the helpful insights and tips about this great new addition to the BMW lineup!
