Hi just got my GS back from dealers for high idle 4000rpm still not right I think as it’s idling at 2000rpm and hunting to 2500, can people please confirm I am not going mad is it feels wrong to me. Thanks in advance

2500 is better than 4000, but still not really "idle" :)

The spec is 1500 to 1700 RPM as printed in the owner's manual (easy to show to your dealer).

Mine tends to stay closer to the 1700 mark if I remember correctly.

I had a problem with this on my 310R. So have a few others though I'm not sure if those were R or GS. My issue was faulty idle control actuator. They had to order part from Germany and replace. About 2 hrs work done under warranty. Some people on this forum might tell you it's a faulty idle set screw but the mechanic that fixed mine said that doesn't exist on the R. I would guess it doesn't exist on GS either but that's just a guess.

My bike was idling around 3500rpm and now idles in the specified range of around 1700rpm. Sounds and feels way different (better) since it was fixed.
