I couldn't find the post where I found out about this. I ordered one for ~$30. What I got was an illegal bootleg copy of copyrighted software. I reported it to eBay. I also demanded and received a full refund from the seller. I destroyed the disk. I suppose the "too good to be true" price should have alerted me.

If BMW had manuals available for a reasonable price, for me it would be an issue with copyright.
However, BMW = 'No manuals at any cost' ? Yup... as far as I'm concerned... it's a non issue.
I wouldn't hold onto passage of any 'Repair Rights' legislation in the USA. $Follow the money$.
Read some web reviews of the Ducati Adv Bike.
Change oil ? $ee the dealer.
Change air cleaner ? $ee the dealer. Recall that that one needed a major dismantling of the bike. (Far worse than the 310 !)
Adjust the clutch ? $ee the dealer. (etc etc).
Then we have the new KTM stuff. Enable all the electronic bells and whistles...
then after 600 miles, shut them off... want them back... yup money from the customer.
The of course, then the cars... expensive ones are going to a 'subscription'.
No periodic money to the mfg = no running car. If they have good luck with that... it will spread.
Oh well.
