Hello all, my name is Manuel. I'm glad I became a member both to this forum and the rider community in general. This is my first motorcycle, although I have ridden sometimes in the past (mainly my friends'), and I've got to say I'm absolutely thrilled.

Nice to meet you and I hope I make some good acquaintances, experienced and newbies alike. :p

Good to have you on-board Manuel, welcome to the forum. Here in the USA we have not yet had any of the G310R nor GS's shipped to our dealers so all of your experiences both good and bad with the bike are appreciated. I am waiting on a GS but look forward to your comments and insights as they come about.

I'm really just a newbie rider at the moment, so I don't think I can be much of use haha. I don't think I'l mod it just yet, maybe after summer since I don't have much free time; that, and my full time job doesn't exactly have the best time schedule (15.00 - 23.00).

For what it's worth though, I'd say it's a pretty aggressive bike here where I live. Since it's a small island (approx 80km top to bottom, and ~25-30km width), we don't value top speed that much since we don't facilitate big highways. That means the acceleration it has is really top notch and helps with overtaking very often. One more thing I noticed is how maneuverable it is for its weight. When I rode a Beverly Piaggo (don't remember model) when I was practicing for my A2 exams, that thing was about 140kg and I almost dropped it a few times, the 310 though seems to always balance it self out. I did drop it once (see attached file) but I was with a friend so we eased out the fall; for reference I was practicing 8s and slow turns on an empty park lot.
The only grudge I have at the moment is definitely the light beam. On normal it's ok at morning/evening, but at night especially on roads where there is no lighting (deep inside the forest near my house), I have to use the high beams or else I won't be able to see anything past 20m. This one I'm definitely going to switch on my first service at my dealer.

Currently I have 400km registered, at 1.000-1.200 they said I should take it to their place for its first service. Not really excited since that means I have to load her on the ferryboat and travel to Athens (15hr trip). Oh well!

If anyone here has ordered her, you'll be in for a surprise she's a blast to ride.

PS: photo 2 is after I dropped her, photo 1 is after I covered up with a marker. It wasn't noticeable in the first place but it irritated me. Photo 3 and 4 are just for 4k fun.

Just the fact its a light weight and nimble bike alone I think will attract a lot of people since this segment of bike has long needed that improvement along with the kind of power being made here and for just under $5k... who's complaining :D

To me its like a baby S1000

Drops happens to everyone, so don't worry about it. Admittedly I did a lot of damage to my brother's bike and managed to crack the fairing on his special edition...So yea, that small scratch is fine and now that you have your first scratch out of the way, the following ones won't concern you as much.

Haha that's what my boss said as well, exact quotes almost.

To be honest I'm relieved aswell as now I won't have to baby it that much anymore, but I didn't expect to drop the bike so soon.
