Yep Learnt a very expensive lesson, I have no got a minor Buckle/Bulge in the front rim. Luckily for me i bought a complete from rim/wheel with tyre on EBAY cheaply and i have also oraganised with local rim specialist to straighten old one out for about $160.00. So be careful to anyone that hasn’t yet bought spoked the rims from rally raid and intend to go off road. The washout i hit wasn’t very big but had a rock on the edge and luckily i wasn’t going that fast. But enough to cause some damage.

Thankfully the rim held and you didn't loose all your air and have to drag / push it out of where ever you were. I have bent a few spoked rims in the same manner. Never had a cast wheel bend, had one break though.

2000 kawasaki ZRX1100 VS very large oak block in the middle of the highway at 70mph! god bless Michelin, that brand new pilot road 4 did not blow out and despite being able to see bottom of bead went down slow.

I may regret it but I got the wheel coverage on my gs.

It's really luck of the draw whether or not rim damage like this results in a flat. Looks like you got pretty lucky in being able to make it back. Is the replacement wheel/tire you got OEM?
