Hopefully you guys are planning to show us your build progression, and man does the bike look weird without the fairing. Looks like you guys have a bunch of projects underway. What are you guys doing to the 310?

Yes, the garage is very busy. I'm just the German owner of the bike, and the owner of the garage is Russian.
We are doing this project in Bali (Indonesia).

Here some work from Alpha Custom:

I think about Adventure Bikes as modern Scramblers. So what I want is a more classic aggressive style, but state of the art.

A few things we will add:

- custom back frame (only the back where the seat is, it is actually very easy to remove)
- custom tank (we have planned something very nice :) )
- custom seat
- Exhaust (!!!)
- LED Adaptive Headlight von J.W. Speaker
- LED Turn Lights
and much more....

There are no Hubs for Wheels available at the moment. We will keep the original ones for a few months and replace it with spoked wheels later when there is more available.

I'm also thinking about to order the suspension Kit from rally raid in the UK.

The project will take some time :-(. This base should be a dream to drive here in Indonesia and I can't wait to make a big tour through Bali.
We are also having some ideas to take some adventure bike properties back to the scrambler.

Nice, can't wait to see some more pictures, what made you choose the gs over the r?
I wanted a bike that I can use on and offroad, and to be comfortable on those nasty roads here.

You can find some funy stuff with google, just search for "canggu shortcut".

Scroll down a bit:

1 Cylinder, excellent on- and offroad capabilities, enough torque and power for my use case here. I think it is pretty much an attractive package for countries in south-east Asia. The R did not sell much in Bali, but on other islands it did.

That said, Rally Raid is apparently doing a suspension kit for the G310R. I would have looked into it too, and if the math would be right maybe just use the R, but now is too late :).

Other Pros for the GS:
- Switchable ABS
- larger Wheelbase

First little 100km ride this weekend after customisation :).

I like this little bike, it drives smoothly, and it has more than enough power for Bali / South East Asia. The customising paid off for me, the seat height is great, and the overall handling is even better than before.

Still, a few things to be done, but I'm more than happy :).
