I would have suggested that you simply chop off the rear of the seat, but realized there's a detent pin there... Gonna have to wait a while for a single seat kit unless someone local can fab you up a seat.
Single seat kit
A single seat kit would be really handy. Here in Australia, changing the bike to a single seat configuration can save a fair bit of money on insurance and registration. I was initially expecting BMW to offer a single seat kit. I look forward to seeing what aftermarket options will be available.
