Does anyone know if the G310GS skid plate will fit onto the G310R?

From pictures it looks like it will.

I think it would be a nice change to the scoop of the G310R.

Looks like it should fit, the general framework and engine placement looks the same. I assume it's a matter of removing the stock one and sliding on the GS skid plate.

It's really hard to say at this point because nobody here has seen one in real life, last motorcycle show I went to only had the R model and not the GS.

@porth does your local BMW dealer have delivery dates on the GS model or any specs for it?

not yet, they don't even have delivery dates for the G310R yet (although it SHOULD be here in Australia mid July)

Anyone really wanting to press this for an answer should press dealers for an answer, as we progress more into the 3rd quarter these guys will have some information before delivery. Unless they remain tight-lipped.

That's really the kicker. If anyone would know, it would be them opposed to us forum users considering we only see what the media puts out and nothing directly from the source typically.
