I've had the r just over a year now and I find that the stock seat on my R seems to be no longer comfortable. (flattened no doubt with my 100Kg) I just wondered if other members have come across this and maybe added an aftermarket seat, and if so, what make did you go for?.

If you are handy with a (strong) staple gun then you can add a gel seat insert.
I've done this on honda and triumph bikes,
There's plenty of YouTube videos to guide you.

I'm a big fan of Seat Concepts seats. I haven't tried their G310 seat (yet) but I've been extremely satisfied with the four I've purchased previously for my KTM SX & XC, Husky TE, and BMW Xmoto.

For the KTMs & Husky I was able to buy complete seats. Unfortunately, they do not carry the seat pan for the Xmoto (or G310 R/GS) so I had to purchase the foam and cover and install it myself.

If you do not feel up to this task a local upholsterer should be able to knock it out in an hour for $25-$50. Alternately, you can send your pan to Seat Concepts and they will install the form and cover with a waterproof membrane for $25.00. (Turnaround is supposedly quick but you'd obviously be seatless for a week or two!)

Good luck!

why to change the seat? it is the most comfortable seat I ever had! And I had them all. don't fix what is not broken. if anything, you can fit on top more aesthetically pleasing and more comfortable seat cover: https://www.amazon.co.uk/BMW-G310GS-seat-cover-black-white/dp/B07JQFP3G8/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1546965691&sr=8-14&keywords=bmw+g310gs

i fitted it without taking the oem cover out.
