A seller on eBay has the manual for those interested.
Name is "fornicoz"
About $20 Canadian.
For the 310R.
Hope to have one soon for the GS.

Tickster,
How good is the service/workshop manual that recently purchased from Ebay?
I am needing the wiring diagram and wire colors to mount additional LED Brake/signal lights.

Thanks,
Bryan

If anyone has the manual, I get this far:

and that's it. I can't seem to be able to actually view any data - just the table of contents.

What am I missing?

Still waiting for the GS version to come out.
May have to just make due with the R version, should be close it a lot of ways.

Depends on what topic you are in the window on the right side. For example if you go up one line to "12 41 Starter with fastener" then some of the boxes at the top will no longer be grayed out, i.e you would be able to click on Repair Manual or Tightening Torques or other depending on what is available for that topic.
Not the easiest thing to use I admit! A good old brick-thick book was fine for me!

So where did you get this online manual?
Did you buy it?

I've got the manual, you have to click on one of the tabs if I remember correctly, I think the technical service data tab, then it works properly, I haven't used my manual in some time, but it did have everything I needed to remove panels and the exhaust.

Bought it on ebay, it does contain most of the other current BMW bikes, so manuals from 2017 that don't specifically mention the G310R might work

1. Click on the TAB that states "technical service data"
2. Select the model series of your bike eg G (wait for the DVD)
3. Select the relevant model. eg 310
4. Make sure "baseline construction status" box is selected - click the box
5. Click the required construction group for the workshop procedure. eg Engine
6. Click on "repair manuals" button ( in centre of window)
7. The diagram will appear
8. scroll down and select the required workshop procedure and click.
9. OK to select
10 Click "?" for the full user manual

this is the little sheet that came with my DVD . a bit long winded but it gets you there.
Like others have said , I prefer a real book.

LOVELY!

Thank you, GOMYW. I didn't get any documentation with it - just a DVD in a case. Would never have stumbled across that particular combination.

Alas, what I REALLY wanted (electrical diagram and wiring harness) doesn't seem to be there.

Hopefully BMW will come out with an actual book in the near future.

MichaelJ, thanks for the heads-up that the wiring info isn't in that manual. I'm also looking for wiring diagram, so let us know if you find something, please, and I'll do the same. What I want is an accessible high beam wire to connect a Flash2Pass garage door transmitter.

+1 for a Wiring Diagram
@MichaelJ for pointing out that there is no wiring diagram in the service manual going around on e-bay. I was *this* close to getting one for the sole purpose of checking out the wiring diagram...

If anyone finds out where to get a wiring diagram, I would LOVE to hear.

just had this reply from Haynes...

" Thank you for your suggestion of a manual covering the BMW G310 models.

It is a little too soon for us to produce a manual, normally we wait two to three years before assessing the demand, but we are monitoring bike sales.

With best wishes
