Hi everyone.
I've fitted the lower and upper Wunderlich Crash bars on my G310GS today. Fit was OK but I have a problem refitting the horn. The instructions tell you to remove the horn and discard the original mounting plate as the kit comes with its own plate. However, it doesn't show you were it goes. I cant get it to fit in the original position as there is now a cross bar in the way that fouls the horn.

Has anyone fitted these bars and had/solved this problem?
The only way I can see to fit the horn would be to make a modified plate.

Thanks

Dave.

Hi @hommes,

As far as I am aware Wunderlich sells HepcoBecker crash bars and that is what I have fitted to my GS. I took a quick pic of my horn placement. I replaced my "scooter" horn with a Denali mini sound bomb but the fitment should be similar to the oem horn. Excuse the mud spots everywhere:)

Thanks for the picture Franc and the mud spots are great. They show you've been using the bike.
The cross bar on mine is about 4 inches further forward so the only way I can see to fix the horn now is by making a longer mounting bracket so the horn will clear the bar.
Thanks for the help.

Did you need an optional BMW plug and play wiring harness to fit the new horn or did you cut and splice?

I bought the Denali BMW OEM adapter with the horn, was about 19USD. Ended up sending it back as OEM BMW does not apply to a BMW made in India:) I spliced both ends and installed a new simple connector. Attached pics show difference between OEM, Denali and horn connectors.
