Motoz Adventure or Trailmax Raid mileage?

I am thinking of putting on some Motoz Adventure or Trailmax Raid for a ~5000 mile trip up and down the Trans Taiga/Route du Nord, so quite a bit of gravel. Will they last or should I use the Tractionator GPS/TMM instead?
Are these all equally rugged/puncture proof?

Thanks!

  • I know the TMM will last that long and then some. I put 8,000 miles on a set and removed them with ~1,000 miles of tread remaining to do some riding that they were unsuitable for. These miles were mostly easy on-road riding and not-hard off-road riding; just what TMM are made for.
  • I know MotoZ RallZ won't make it that far. Based on three sets so far, 3,000-3,500 seems to be what I get from a pair of RallZ. But, these miles were hard riding off-road, not just gravel; just what they are made for.
  • Based on MotoZ' descriptions, their tread differences, and the table below, I would expect the MotoZ Adventures to make your distance, plus some, but not a lot.
  • Based on Dunlop's descriptions and their tread differences, I would expect a lot less mileage from the TMRs than what I got from the TMMs but I would expect them to make your distance.
  • MotoZ tires are designed and built to survive hard off-road riding. I have greatly abused my RallZ and Desert H/Ts with no failures. I even took a full nail puncture in a rear RallZ and only discovered it while changing the tire. I would expect the same from Adventures, but I would not expect either TMMs or TMRs to be as survivable.
  • Given the Wikipedia description, if I was riding the Trans Taiga/Route du Nord, I'd want something with more bite than MotoZ GPSes or TMMs. I would use MotoZ Adventures.

Let us know what you decide and how it worked out.

Per the TRACTIONATOR ADVENTURE - Pacific Powersports website...

The Tractionator Adventure front 90/90-21 TL / TT, 110/80-19 and 120/70-19 TL has been replaced by Dual Venture.

Per the Shop - Motoz website...

- the Adventure is...

In my experience, the more street intent of a tire, the longer that tire will last.
So, I would expect the Dual Venture to last a bit longer than the front Adventure tire it's replacing.
